HORTON TROPHY RACE RESULTS

The SS Class Association is delighted to congratulate Michael Nelson and Jayden Nelson-Krauer, winners of the 2026 Horton Trophy Regatta.

The regatta was held on Saturday, August 1, on beautiful Shinnecock Bay and featured three spirited races sailed under sunny skies with a steady south to southwest breeze of approximately 11 mph. Pleasant temperatures of 82 degrees provided ideal conditions for an enjoyable day of competitive racing, with close finishes and outstanding sportsmanship on display throughout the fleet.

The Race Committee, comprised of Missy Nelson, Peggy Lidster, Helen Horton, and Anne Mays, did an exceptional job of managing the day's racing, and their dedication is sincerely appreciated.

The SS Class Association extends its heartfelt thanks to all of the competitors whose enthusiasm, skill, and camaraderie made the Horton Trophy Regatta such a memorable event. We are equally grateful to the race committee, volunteers, and supporters whose time and efforts continue to make these traditions possible. Congratulations once again to Michael and Jayden on a well-deserved Horton Trophy victory!
